If you simply satisfy and maintain these criteria of ecommerce training education and experience, you may be certified:

Pre-Qualify: If you already have 3+ years of documented e-business experience or you are a technology executive you may request to waive out of the education requirements by sending a "good faith" resume for portfolio review. 

1. If You Have College Credit: All that you need to show is one of the following: that you have completed a concentration, minor, or certificate in the e-commerce, (or) e-business or internet consulting ,(or) information systems, (or) show that you have a business degree or other degree with a focus on the Technology or the Internet. Once you are qualified, you may sit for the examination conducted by our Authorized Training Centers (ATC) located worldwide. If you are not convinced above your knowledge on eCommerce, you may attend our E-Commerce workshops and Seminars conducted whole year round at our ATC.

Training Program: If you are new to e-commerce and e-business, you can take our complete CEC Courses which can be completed in just a few months on part time basis. You can seperately take the modules or be exempted from certain modules because of your training or experience in this industry. 

Professionals, executives, and professors with much work experience in ecommerce or ebusiness can petition for certification or sit for the examination without further education. 

2. Experience Required   (2 years of research, study or work for the CEC Designation)

3. Ethics  (As a CEC you should Agree to abide by the ICECC code of ethics and Professional Ethics Standards)

4. Continuing Education Annually  (Complete 15 hours of ICEC approved education per year) This is the equal to one college course per year or a 2 day seminar or conference in ebusiness, ecommerce, or internet consulting per year on technology, e-commerce, or e-business.
