What is the CEC ™ E-Commerce and E-Business Board of Standards ?


Founded in San Francisco, California and New Orleans, Louisiana in 1996, the International Institute of Professional Analysts, LLC owns the CEC Board of Standards which is an independent professional regulatory organization that licenses the use of the Designations CERTIFIED E-COMMERCE CONSULTANT™ and CEC™ certification marks. The CEC Board regulates e-Commerce Professionals through trademark law by certifying individuals who meet its requirements to use the marks. CEC™ was started by University and College Professors and Internet Chief Officers to innovate education for e-Professionals and form a worldwide professional society to assist executives, managers, and professionals. This joint merger between corporate America and Prominent Universities has brought the CEC to the forefront of e-commerce manager and executive certification.

Q: How do I become e-Business Certified?

Simply take our approved courses with a university or ATC in the field of e-commerce and e-business We encourage a focus on e-marketing, e-management, e-legal and ethics, global e-commerce, and e-strategy. Many of you need only to finish your accredited college or university concentration in e-commerce or e-business. Then , Register, Pay your certification and review fee, then send a Resume for Board Review.

 

Q: IF I successfully complete several e-commerce courses , and apply for board review, and meet the requirements, then what?

Then, you become a full member, CEC™ e-commerce licensee, certified, and we mail you a diploma style certification certificate. You would then have full benefits from having The CEC™ e-business and e-commerce designation.

 

Q: Who must take classes?

You must take an e-business or e-commerce or IT/IS concentration, certificate, specialization, minor or major or degree or take courses from an endorsed e-learning center. However, if you have over 4+ years of documented practical experience and research in the field of e-commerce and e-business, you may apply for a waiver.

 

Our CEC™ Online education program is a Fast Track Executive model.  You can pay a traditional college to take a certificate from their program or you can take our endorsed online courses.

If you successfully complete our approved courses with our approved provider or at our recognized universities, you are guaranteed admission into the ICECC and Granted the CEC™ Certification upon meeting all of the professional requirements.

 

Q: What is a concentration at a college or university?

This is at least 5 classes in e-commerce, e-business, or Information technology related studies. Some education centers call it a certificate program.

 

Q: How will CEC improve my image, salary, and resume?

Most of our members use the CEC™ after their name on a business card or brochure. Thus, customers and partners instantly know that you have a certification.

Are there any certifications like us?

Universities do not traditionally offer certification; however, we grant the CEC to our online graduates and graduates of top e-commerce college programs of which we have alliances. States do not regulate our e-commerce profession. Thus, we are at the top of our field in this area. Q: How do I get certified?
A: There are four steps to become CEC certified.

Step 1: Register for Certification Review and pay for certification.

Step 2: Submit that you have Completed the Certification Requirements (send us a resume of your experience or list of classes that you have taken and tests that you have successfully completed)

Step 3: Finish all education/training requirements.

Step 4: Receive Certification after Board Review Approval


How do I sign up for the Certification course?

You can attend our workshops or training programs or your can take an accredited program of study at your local university that may lead to a degree. Our board will accept the work you have done at a university if it is e-commerce related and in several skill sets such as marketing, management, legal, e-business, e-commerce etc.

When do I receive my certificate?

Four to eight weeks after acceptance of your application and passing all the courses required for the CEC, you will receive your certificate of completion
